About the role
As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist duties include offering administrative support across the organisation and greeting people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls, managing post, and maintaining room bookings and ensuring the rooms are kept clean & tidy at all times.
To be successful as a Receptionist, you should be friendly and polite, well organised and efficient.
Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and to execute all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing the Company admin tasks, which will include, but are not limited to:
Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
Receiving, sorting and distributing daily mail/deliveries
Ensuring the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
Ordering front office supplies and keeping inventory of stock
Skills and Experience
The candidate must have a good customer service attitude, including an excellent telephone manner and good writing and numeracy skills. The candidate must be able to self-manage and have good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise. The candidate must also be computer literate with experience in Microsoft office, including excel.
